DRV: Becoming a member

Several thousands of member companies, including many service providers, have turned us into a strong community.

Is your company working as a travel agent, tour operator or service provider in the tourism industry and does it want to become part of this community? Then apply for membership now! You will find all important information and documents for downloading.

Your 5 steps to membership

Step 1: Complete the application form which applies to your company and enclose the necessary documents.

Step 3: We check your documents for completeness and inform you about your membership fee and the next possible admission date.
As a rule, the admission of new members takes place every second month.

Step 4: The Board of Directors decides about your admission as a DRV member.
Step 5: The new members receive all important information on membership by mail.

What types of membership are available?

The admission criteria, your membership fee and the admission procedure depend on the type of membership. Depending on the structure and orientation of the company, there are three types.

1. Ordinary Membership

Assignment of the company

Travel agencies / travel agents
Tour operators
Groups of travel agencies and / or tour operators

Examples

High-street travel agencies, online travel agencies, special travel and cruise providers

2. Associated Membership

Assignment of the company

Tourism service providers which do not meet the prerequisites to Ordinary Membership.

Examples

Airlines, hotels, educational institutions, car rental companies, hardware and software companies, management consultants, insurance companies, PR and marketing agencies, tourism organisations and representative offices

Examples

Associations, societies

4. Probationary Ordinary Membership

Assignment of the company - young companies which has been created less than two years ago

Commercial travel agents

Other commercial travel agents and travel consultants
Commercial tour operators
Groups of commercial travel agents and / or tour operators

Examples

5. Probationary Associated Membership

Assignment of the company - young companies which has been created less than two years ago

Classification of your company

Merchants, partnerships and corporations, which do not meet the pre-requisites to ordinary and associated membership

Examples

Tourism service providers such as airlines, hotel chains, car rental companies, hardware and software companies, management consultants, which have not yet been on the market for two years.

What does DRV membership cost?

Ordinary Members (travel agents, tour operators)

The annual DRV membership fee is calculated in accordance with theMembership Fee Regulation based on the total number of employees of your company.
Companies which have branch establishments apart from their main office, pay the contribution which is calculated from the total number of employees in the main office and in the branch establishments.
In the year of admission to the Association the membership fee is due on a proportionate basis in accordance with the remaining full months.
The annual membership fee becomes due from the date of commencement of membership confirmed by the Board of Directors and during the following years in January of each year.
Upon admission, a non-recurring admission fee in the amount of half an annual membership fee is charged.

Associated Members (tourism industry service providers)

The annual DRV membership fee is agreed with the DRV Board of Directors and depends on the type and size of the company.
In order to be able to submit a contribution offer to you, we kindly ask you to send us the application form (for Associate Members) with all necessary information about your company.
During the year of admission to the Association the membership contribution is calculated from the date of commencement of the membership confirmed by the Board of Directors on a proportionate basis. During the following years, the entire amount becomes due in January of each year.
Upon admission, a non-recurring admission fee in the amount of half an annual membership fee will be charged.
